Anthony sighed as he threw his book bag in the corner. He was sick and tired of moving all the time. Every time he was promised "this is the last time" but by now he knew it never was. He was glad he had only unpacked what he had absolutely needed when he moved here, it made less for him to pack. Still, he couldn't help but feel betrayed as he was told yet again that his life was going to be abruptly and rudely uprooted to suit someone else's life.

Deciding that his stuff wasn't going to pack itself, he opened the closet and started pulling his uniform shirts off the hangers, folding them for his suitcase.
Sitting down on the porch as he waited, Anthony counted the number of times he had moved. He watched as the workers loaded the moving van with the living room furniture. Thankfully, they had sold a majority of the furniture so they'd have less to move. He looked up as his dad approached.
"Listen sport, I know how tired you are of moving but I swear-"
"It's the last time?" Anthony interrupted.
"No." His dad answered, slightly taken aback.
"I was going to say that I swear I never wanted to move this much either but I couldn't turn down the job."
